Please refer to the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/housing.tcu.edu\/housing-license\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Housing License<\/a><\/span> to review the meal plan requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">How do I change my residential meal plan?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p>Juniors and Seniors may change their meal plans\u00a0via the Housing Portal on August 1. <strong>No changes<\/strong> will be made <strong>after August 29<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">How do I cancel or opt out of my residential meal plan?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p>Only <strong>Juniors and Seniors<\/strong> who live in<strong> Liberty Lofts, McCart, Molly Reid, Tom Brown\/Pete Wright, University House, or Village East<\/strong> may cancel their meal plans via the Housing Portal by selecting \u201cNo Meal Plan\u201d in their Housing Application from August 1-August 29 and January 1-January 28.<\/p>\n<\/div><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">Can I have a meal plan if I don't live on campus?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p>Yes. Commuter and off-campus students can purchase Commuter Meal Plans beginning August 1, 2025. Please contact <a href=\"mailto:dining@tcu.edu\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>TCU Dining<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for that information.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>More<\/h2>\n<div class=\"tcu-accordion-container\"><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">How can I tour my assigned room before Move-In?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p>Housing &amp; Residence Life does not offer tours of specific rooms in each hall; instead, tours of a typical room in a Residence Hall are provided. Every effort is made to accommodate student preferences; however, placement in a particular community or with a specific roommate is not guaranteed.<\/p>\n<p>Juniors, Seniors, and Transfer students are not guaranteed housing. However, we have room descriptions, photos, and video tours of our rooms on our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/housing.tcu.edu\/residence-halls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Residence Halls&#8217;<\/a><\/strong><\/span> page. For a schedule of tours hosted by Admissions, click <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.tcu.edu\/visit\/programs-events.php#tab-seniors\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">If I am transferring to TCU, can I live in TCU Housing?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p>A limited number of housing spaces are designated for incoming transfer students who have been out of high school for less than two years, regardless of how many credit hours they have. To determine if you are eligible for one of those spaces and\/or to pay the enrollment deposit, please contact <strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.tcu.edu\/admitted\/transfers\/index.php\">Transfer Admissions<\/a><\/u><\/strong> at (817) 257-7490. You must pay the non-refundable enrollment deposit before you will have access to the housing application.<\/p>\n<p>All student health records must be submitted to the <strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/healthcenter.tcu.edu\/\">TCU Health Center<\/a><\/u><\/strong> before Move-In.<\/p>\n<\/div><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">May I live in TCU Housing with a sibling\/family member who is also attending TCU?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Ebrima;\">You may request to live with a sibling of the same gender on campus by mutually requesting one another via the Housing Application.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">May I live at home as a First-Year or Sophomore?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p>Students are permitted to live at home with their parent\/legal guardian within <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>30 miles of campus<\/em><\/span>. Please complete and submit the <strong>Commuter Exemption Request Form<\/strong> located under &#8220;Forms&#8221; within the Housing Portal if you are interested in living at home.<\/p>\n<\/div><button type=\"button\" class=\"tcu-accordion-header h4\">Will I have access to my room during holidays and breaks?<\/button><div class=\"tcu-accordion-content cf\"><p>Our residence halls do <strong>not<\/strong> close for holidays or breaks. Students are welcome to stay in their residence halls during this time. We will have staff on duty in case students need anything.
